Recent changes to the structure of Guiding on Vancouver Island has resulted in the formation of the Pacific Shores Area. The makeup of districts in the new area are as follows:

• Broughton Straits (includes Port Alice, Zeballos, Woss, Port Hardy, Alert Bay, Holdberg and Port McNeil)
• Campbell River (includes Campbell River, Gold River, Tahsis, Sayward and Tsaxana)
• Comox Valley (includes Cumberland, Comox, Courtenay and surrounding areas)
• Malaspina Straits (includes Powell River, surrounding areas and Texada Island)
• Coastal Rainforest (includes Tofino, Ucluelet, Port Alberni and Qualicum)
• Hurford (includes north end Nanaimo and Lantzville)
• Nanaimo-Piper (includes central Nanaimo area)
• Nanaimo Arbutus (includes south Nanaimo, Cedar and Chase River areas)
• Waters Edge (includes Ladysmith south to the top of the Malahat)

Please note that the majority of this site is no longer being updated. A replacement is under construction with hope that it will be available in the fall of 2010.
